Being unemployed, I may have too much time on my hands.
So more baking may have happened, and the results of the baking may already be gone by tonight. Just may be.
Anywho, commence with the Mini Apple Pie Bites!
All you need is an apple (My grandma told me that Granny Smith apples are the best for baking!), crescent rolls, a mixture of cinnamon and sugar, and butter. Be sure to preheat the oven to 350*F.
Lay out the crescent rolls and place a small amount of butter on the larger end. Sprinkle the whole roll with the cinnamon/sugar mixture, and a skinless apple piece on the large end.
Then roll ’em up, starting with the end that has the apple. Sprinkle more cinnamon on it if you want! I also closed up the ends on a few of them.
Bake for the desired amount on the crescent roll package, I did mine for 10:00 minutes, and then kept them in there for another 2-3 minutes. Until they were nice and golden brown on the top, and the part of the roll near the apple looked completely cooked and not doughy.
I loved these, as did my family. I have to make more tomorrow!
