Women of Love

I’m not sure when it began; when we decided to judge and look meanly upon other women.
When did we say that this was okay?
When did we decide that we had the right to judge other women?
Women who have the same struggles, worries, and concerns as us.

Our society has trained us to look negatively upon our differences. Differences in body shape, hair color or texture, eye color, and even skin complexion. Tina-Fey

We should be celebrating our differences instead of belittling them to each other.
Our differences are what make us beautiful!
Our differences are what make each of us unique!

With the whole world and society against us, why can’t we link arms and support each other?!
If we change our views of each other, we can change the views of society.
If we train our daughters, sisters, and younger generations to love instead of condemn; we can grow generations that support each other.

I have no right to look at and think/tell a woman that she needs to eat, because she is skinnier than I am.
I have no right to look at and think/tell a woman that she needs to diet, because she is heavier than I am.
I have no right to look at and think/tell a woman that her hair is the wrong way, or that she is wearing the wrong type of clothes.
Who am I to say those things to a woman who is struggling with her self-image as much as I am?

I want us to become women of Love, of Support, of Positivity.
We should be complimenting each other and encouraging each other. When is the last time you gave a stranger a compliment? Just to let her know, that she is indeed beautiful, just the way she is. You know Bruno Mars had it right!

So please, take a stand with me.
Go out of your way to encourage a friend or stanger.
Go out of your way to compliment someone everyday.
Be that obnixous person on Facebook that comments on photos.

You may never know how that small act of encouragment can affect someone.
You may just help them learn to believe that they are beautiful.
