Asian Carp: What’s the big deal?

Asian Carp.
What’s the big worry about? Why will you be seeing more and more about these horrible stinky fish in the future? And what in the world makes them so worth mentioning?
Well, I hope to explain how these fish, are not going to be helpful in the ecosystem of our wonderful Great Lakes! (Shout-out to Michigan!)

Which has then lead to some very interesting ways to entertained!

This issue with the Asian Carp species is that they are an invasive species, and nonnative to North American ecosystems. They out compete native fish for food and habitat.

I know I didn’t go into too much detail about the species, what they eat, but you can kinda think of them as the ‘hoovers’ of the aquatic system. To find out more you can check out the National Wildlife Federation or Michigan DNR’s.
