Homemade Granola!

Since I’ve been out here in Colorado, I noticed I have become quite the fan of granola bars.
As well as just plain granola in general.

Today I decided to try to make my own, and apparently, it is something that doesn’t have an “exact” recipe. I sorta just winged it. Haha! 🙂

130602_0004First you add the ‘dry’ ingredients together; old-fashioned oats, almonds, walnuts, pecans, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. I used about 2 cups of oats, and then 2 cups of nuts, in whichever mix you wish.
130602_0003Next you add the ‘wet’ ingredients; you should add about a 1/4 cup of honey/syrup, and another 1/4 of a mixture of those two. Stir so its nice and moist completely through!
Then bake the granola on a cookie sheet  at 350* for 30 minutes. Stir or mix the granola ever 10 minutes.
(If you like clusters, don’t stir the granola after you place it in the oven.)
130602_0005If you want to add fruit or berries, you should place them in for the last 10 minutes of baking, or after you’re done baking.
And Viola!
