DIY: Angel Seashell Decorations

I know I know, it’s not even Halloween yet!!!
Why am I posting angel decorations that look like they could be on a Christmas Tree?!?

I didn’t have a blog at the time… and well, they are too cute and sweet not to share!

Have you recently been to the beach, and have a rather large collection of seashells?
We did after I work a summer at Assateague Island National Seashore!

What you need:
Seashells! All shapes and sizes.
Wooden Balls, wooden spoons, or whatever else you want for the “head”.
Ribbon! (We choose a gold glitter ribbon for the wings.)
A Hot Glue Gun.
Small loops of string.

Just make sure you wash the shells! We dipped them in a solution of bleach and water, with mostly water (3:1), and scrubbed the dirtier ones in dish soap to get any grim off.
To create the wings, we just folded the ribbon together and that’s it! No fancy bows or anything like that.
It’s pretty simple, you just hot-glue everything together, in the back, where the “neck” would be for the angel!

Thanks for Reading! What do you think?
