Red Velvet Brownies

For the Brownies:
3 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
1 oz Red Food Coloring
2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Butter, room temp
1 1/2 cups Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Decorations:
Paper
Powdered Sugar
Small Strainer

*Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare an 8″ square pan with baking spray.
*Bake for 30-40 minutes.

So, I kinda cheat when I bake, and don’t really follow the instructions about mixing this in one bowl, and then this in another ….. so if you want the exact directions check out the recipe here.

I mixed the butter and sugar together first, and then mixed in slowly, a little at a time the other ingredients. I will let you know that there is a lot of red food coloring in this, a lot. I ran out of red food coloring! Plus, the mixture is really thick, but the brownies are a great texture!

For the decorations I cut out a snowmen and placed it on the cut brownies. To help the powdered sugar stick to the brownies I placed a little water on top, and then placed the cutout on top of the brownie.
Start sprinkling the powdered sugar!
