Where your family should Vacation this summer- Come Visit ME!

cms_places2go_1After a crazy and scary couple of weeks,
I am very happy to say that I have accepted a job offer from Yellowstone National Park for this summer!

I will be working in the Lake Village, Bridge Bay, and Fishing Bridge Area. Which is located on Yellowstone Lake! I would have the opportunity to do a wide arrangement of interpretive programs; from boat scenic tours around Yellowstone Lake, nature hikes, and talks at the visitor center.

Yellowstone National Park was established in 1872, and takes the claim of being the world’s first National Park. The park has an average of 3 million visitors a year.
It was designated as a biosphere reserve in 1972, and in 1978 it was designated a world heritage site as well.

My family went to visit Yellowstone in 2009 (going to date myself), after I graduated from highschool!
Enjoy these few photos from that trip.
On a personal note, I have about 5,000 digital photos from that trip, and I have yet to still go through them!

If you have any questions about what its like being a park ranger, or how to become one, feel free to ask me below!

  1. That’s so great! I can’t wait to be in the position you’re in. 🙂 I’m currently in school for my AA and volunteer with the National Parks when I can.

I can’t belive you said you’re going to date yourself for a 2009 picture! Lol that’s my graduation year, we aren’t that old yet!

      1. Definitely keep volunteering with any park that is nearby! When you are ready to start applying for jobs with the NPS, be sure to write out every responsibility you have ever had at any job you have ever had. The government likes to know everything, plus, it shows a variety of experiences!

  2. Yellowstone is my favorite! I go there every summer for 3 months, and am just about to leave Florida for another visit. Mostly I hang out in Lamar Valley wolf-watching but there is never a dull moment anywhere in the Park. Let’s hope for another thrilling summer!
