Nothing new about that though, I’ve been unemployed since September 2017. As competition increases, and funding decreases, many people work seasonally (6 months) for the National Park Service. Getting an available position for the winter season is extremely difficult, and I was fortunate I was able to work at Mesa Verde in the winter in the past. I’m going to ALASKA and I’m kinda freaking out about it.

This summer I will not be returning to Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone, instead I will be catching a flight and heading to Katmai National Park and Preserve in Alaska. This is the first time I have ever visited Alaska and the first time I will be working in a park that is only accessible by boat or plane.
